RODS
Bonefish
8 or 9 Weight Fly Rod
Barracuda, Tarpon, Shark
9 or 10 Weight Fly Rod. For Barracuda you may also use a Spin Rod
Tip:
For ease of travel consider bringing a 4-piece rod. Most airlines will accept as carry on luggage.
REELS
Bonefish
saltwater with adjustable drag and a capacity of at least 150 yards of 20 lbs test backing
Tarpon, Barracuda, Shark
saltwater with adjustable drag and a capacity of at least 200 yards of 30 lbs test backing
Tip:
Remember to wash rods, reels and lines with fresh water after each day of fishing.

I suggest one weight heavier than the rod (ie. 9 weight line for 8 weight rod).

match the weight of the line to the rod.
